Using Quick Search

Performing a Quick Search

A Quick Search is the default form that appears in the Search pane the first time you enter Realist. It provides a streamlined way to find a property based on simple attributes like the Address, Owner Name, Listing Number, or APN/Folio/Tax ID (these criteria are subject to change by your MLS administrator).

Populate Search Attributes

On the Search pane, enter information for one or more of the search fields using the following data conventions:

  • To add a single value to a field, type or select the value directly.
  • Modify the Search operator dropdown as needed to match your targeted parameter boundaries.

Adding Multiple Values per Attribute Field

To add multiple values to a single field, type or select the first value and click the Add (+) icon. Each subsequent value registers beneath the primary search field block:

Interface Component Options Reference Table

Each field behaves uniquely according to the data class it hosts. Review this operational reference framework:

Option TypeDescription & Behavioral Rulesets
Drop-down ListClick the down arrow to select from a predefined static menu list of options.
Selection BoxClick the Select from List button to launch an overlay modal dialog populated with selectable options.
RangesSelect your preferred boundary operator. By default, numerical ranges utilize an in between rule (e.g., between 1 and 3 bedrooms).
TIP: Entering a single isolated digit converts the field to a Greater Than/Less Than or Equal To parameter logic.
DatesType dates explicitly using the mm/dd/yyyy structure or click the calendar picker element.
TIP: Pre-configured quick-links for the last 3, 6, 9, or 12 months are accessible right inside the popup calendar matrix.
Text BoxType the target text string or leverage the integrated type-ahead autocomplete drawer, which initializes after typing the first two letters.
