Using Quick Search
Performing a Quick Search
A Quick Search is the default form that appears in the Search pane the first time you enter Realist. It provides a streamlined way to find a property based on simple attributes like the Address, Owner Name, Listing Number, or APN/Folio/Tax ID (these criteria are subject to change by your MLS administrator).
Populate Search Attributes
On the Search pane, enter information for one or more of the search fields using the following data conventions:
- To add a single value to a field, type or select the value directly.
- Modify the Search operator dropdown as needed to match your targeted parameter boundaries.

Adding Multiple Values per Attribute Field
To add multiple values to a single field, type or select the first value and click the Add (+) icon. Each subsequent value registers beneath the primary search field block:

TIP: To remove an extraneous search value row, simply click the trash bin icon situated immediately to the right of that value container.
Interface Component Options Reference Table
Each field behaves uniquely according to the data class it hosts. Review this operational reference framework:
| Option Type | Description & Behavioral Rulesets |
|---|---|
| Drop-down List | Click the down arrow to select from a predefined static menu list of options. |
| Selection Box | Click the Select from List button to launch an overlay modal dialog populated with selectable options. |
| Ranges | Select your preferred boundary operator. By default, numerical ranges utilize an in between rule (e.g., between 1 and 3 bedrooms). TIP: Entering a single isolated digit converts the field to a Greater Than/Less Than or Equal To parameter logic. |
| Dates | Type dates explicitly using the mm/dd/yyyy structure or click the calendar picker element.TIP: Pre-configured quick-links for the last 3, 6, 9, or 12 months are accessible right inside the popup calendar matrix. |
| Text Box | Type the target text string or leverage the integrated type-ahead autocomplete drawer, which initializes after typing the first two letters. |
TIP: You can flush out all workspace values instantly at any point in your workflow by clicking the Clear Searches button at the base of the main Search panel.
