How to Review the Property Overview Report on Property Intelligence

Overview

The Property Overview report provides a general snapshot of a property, including its basic characteristics, location details, and key demographic information. It also offers valuable context through insights into local housing market conditions, home value trends, and a neighborhood scorecard for location and lifestyle profiles.


Reviewing the property overview report

  • Property image and location: Gives you a visual representation of the property and key location details such as latitude and longitude, Census Tract ID, School District, Municipality/Township, FIPS/County, and CBSA code.

  • Basic property details: Provides fundamental information, including the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and various other structural characteristics.

  • Home value trends: You can access an overview of property value trends for the neighborhood and metro area.

  • Local housing market overview: You can find insights into local housing market conditions, including HPI Forecast, Median Home Value, Neighborhood Median Rent, and Neighborhood Median Year Built.

  • Neighborhood scorecard: This section evaluates your area on a scale of 0 to 100 based on how it fits certain traits.

    • Location Scorecard:  Evaluates how well your area scores in location traits like Suburban, Urban, Rural, Remote, Coastal, Farm, and Lakefront.

    • Lifestyle Scorecard: Evaluates how well your area scores in specific lifestyle traits such as Urban Sophistication, Single Professionals, Luxury Communities, Walkability, National Quiet Index, Hip and Trendy, Retirement Friendly, and Vacation Homes.

  • Demographic information: You can view demographic information, including Age Groups, Marital Status, and Commute Times.

  • Housing Types: You can view the percentage of Housing Types in the neighborhood.

  • Download Report: You can download PDF or CSV versions of each report.

    • Enable the Customize PDF Report feature to substitute the Cotality logo with your business information on each PDF report.

    • When you download a PDF report from any report page, you have the option to choose multiple reports to be downloaded as a single PDF file. AVM reports must be downloaded separately.  

Tip: Access Property List from the Property Intelligence overview page after selecting a property. If subscribed, it opens “Create a custom search.” If not, it leads to “Learn More” about Property List features.
