How to Set Inspection Status on Mercury Network®

Prev Next

Overview

Update the inspection status in Mercury Network® to keep clients informed when an appraisal inspection is scheduled or completed. From the order details, you can record the inspection date and time, add notes, and use Xcelerator availability provided by the property contact.

Recording the current inspection status helps the client track appraisal order progress and receive timely scheduling or completion updates.

How to set an inspection status

  1. Click the Orders button at the top of the window.

  2. Double-click the order where you wish to update the inspection status.

  3. On the toolbar near the top, click Set Order Status, and choose the appropriate inspection status for the order:

    1. Inspection Scheduled — Indicate the date and time of the scheduled inspection, and enter any applicable notes.

    2. Inspection Completed — Indicate the date and time you completed the inspection, and enter any applicable notes.

  4. If Xcelerator is enabled and the property contact provided appointment availability, review the available times in the Select inspection date and time window. Select the preferred date, and then use the menu to choose your arrival time. If none of the proposed times work, coordinate with the property contact and enter the agreed-upon appointment time.

  5. Click OK to update the inspection status, and your client is notified immediately.

If you select a time proposed by the property contact, they receive confirmation of the scheduled appointment.

Outcome

After you submit the update, Mercury Network® records the inspection as scheduled or completed, saves the date, time, and notes with the appraisal order, and notifies the client. If Xcelerator is enabled and you select an available time provided by the property contact, the contact also receives appointment confirmation.
