How to Configure Review Settings on Mercury Network®

Overview

You can centralize and manage automated review workflows within the Legacy Forms and Investigate tabs. By configuring these preferences—including RealView integration, Collateral Underwriter (CU) score thresholds, and specific form or loan type triggers—you can automate high-risk report analysis and streamline document delivery. Implementing these settings reduces manual-entry errors, ensures consistent application of company standards, and accelerates the review process by targeting only reports that meet your specific risk criteria.

How to Configure Review Settings

The Legacy Forms tab now centralizes all legacy review settings previously located throughout the application. Additionally, the Investigate tab contains all settings specific to the Investigate module.

  1. Navigate to the top navigation bar and select Preferences.

  2. Select Review Settings in the drop-down menu.

  3. On the Legacy Forms tab, configure your company’s preferences for legacy form review workflow.

    1. Click the Checkmark to enable RealView. A window will pop-up to enter your Platinum Data account info.

    2. Select Always order default modules and don't prompt per-order when a review is started manually to enable the setting.

    3. Automatically order default modules the first time or every time an order’s status changes to:

      1. Use the second drop-down to select which status will trigger the order.

      2. Only automatically order when the CU score is greater or less than or equal to: Enter a Collateral Underwriter (CU) score threshold between 0.0 and 5.0. If the score does not meet this threshold, the modules will not be ordered. For instance, if you enter 3.9, only reports with a score of 3.9 or higher will be sent to your selected AQM modules. This lets you order the modules for the highest-risk reports.

    4. Automatically download the RealView® Report PDF when results are returned: Select this option to automatically attach the RealView Report to the order documents upon its return.

    5. Click the Settings icon to open the Automatic settings window.

      1. Here, you can select the Form and Loan types which will trigger the AQM order.

Note: The order must meet the criteria in both tabs to trigger the automatic order.

      2. In the Form type tab, each AQM module contains a group of forms. Place a check next to each form type you'd like to automatically order for each AQM module.

      3. In the Loan type tab, place a check next to each type of loan which will trigger the automatic order.

      4. Click Save when you're done selecting form and loan types.-

How to Configure Investigate Settings

When Investigate is enabled, all orders will, by default, route to Investigate for review. Accounts that only want specific products sent for review must create a default plan to opt-out specific products. Accounts whose review opt-out rules vary by client group will need to configure one or more plans, then select the appropriate plan within each client group profile.

  1. Navigate to the top navigation bar and select Preferences.

  2. Select Review Settings in the drop-down menu.

  3. From the Investigate tab, add your Review Plan.

Note: The Global Setting for the Investigate tool is a read-only field, automatically toggled On or Off based on the client's contract status. When this setting is enabled, users can add Review Plan, which dictates which products are transmitted to the Investigate module for review.

  4. Click Add Review Plan.

  5. Enter the Review Plan Name.

  6. Click Product Settings.

    1. Click All or None to select or deselect all products.

    2. Click the arrow to deselect the products you would like to exclude from sending to Investigate.

    3. Click OK to save your selections.

  7. To set the Review Plan as the default, select the Is Default checkbox.

Note: A single Review Submission Plan can be configured as the default if the same submission rules apply to all Client Groups. However, if business requirements vary by group, multiple plans may be created. To apply a specific plan, select the desired option within the Client Group Profile. If no selection is made at the group level, the system automatically applies the default plan.

Outcome

You can create an automated review process tailored to your organization’s risk policy.
