Overview
Mercury Network® allows you to remove the FHA status from an order when FHA submission is no longer applicable. For example, you may have submitted an appraisal to the FHA Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal, but later determine that the loan will not proceed as an FHA loan. Removing the FHA status restores the order to its previous status while preserving all FHA submission history.
How to remove the FHA status from an order
In the Orders view, locate the order and double-click it to open Order Details.
Select Set Status from the toolbar.
Select Remove FHA Status.

In the dialog box, enter a note explaining the reason for the status change.
Select OK.
Why am I required to enter a note?
The note is stored in the order's audit trail and creates a record of why the FHA status was removed. This helps maintain accurate status history and supports future auditing or order review activities.
What happens when I remove the FHA status?
When you remove the FHA status:
The order returns to the status it held before it was submitted to the FHA EAD portal.
All FHA-related events remain visible in the order audit trail.
All FHA submission records remain in the EAD portal.
Only the FHA status designation is removed from the Mercury Network® order.
Does removing the FHA status delete FHA submission history?
No. Removing the FHA status does not delete or modify any FHA submission records. All submission activity remains available in both the order audit trail and the FHA EAD portal. The action simply removes the FHA status from the order and restores the order's previous workflow status.
Outcome
After completing these steps, the order reflects its pre-FHA status while retaining a complete history of FHA submission activity. This ensures the order accurately aligns with the loan's current processing path without affecting existing EAD records.
