Overview

Locating your orders efficiently is essential for managing your workflow and tracking order progress. Mercury Network provides two robust methods to track down your orders: direct search and status-based filters. By using these tools, you can quickly retrieve specific orders using unique criteria or view grouped orders based on their current stage. This article guides you through searching for orders, customizing your default search settings for a faster experience, and using filters to organize your order pipeline.

How to Locate and Filter Your Orders

There are two methods used to track down an order: Search and Filters. Searching for the order is the most direct way to find it if you have specific information available pertaining to the order that can be used to enter as search criteria.  If you don't have any specific details, sort the orders based on the order status by using filters.

Locate Orders with Specific Information. If you have unique details for an order, use the search tool to find it directly.

  1. Navigate to the Orders view and enter your search criteria into the Find box on the left side of your screen.

    1. Select either the Starts With or Contains radio button to define how the system matches your search criteria.

  2. Select the specific field you want to search from the In Field drop-down menu.

  3. Choose the appropriate timeframe from the Placed drop-down menu to restrict the search window.

  4. Choose the Orders type from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click the Magnifying Glass icon or press Enter on your keyboard to run your search and display the matching results.

Note: If you do not have specific search criteria like a loan or tracking number, you can sort and locate orders by their status using the filters on the left side of your screen.

How to Change Your Search Default Settings

Adjust your search preferences so that the fields you use most often are selected by default.

  1. Click the Gear (settings) icon to the right of the In Field drop-down menu.

  2. Configure your preferences in the Search Options window:

    1. Select your preferred default search field from the Field Default drop-down menu.

    2. Select your preferred default timeframe from the Placed Default drop-down menu.

    3. Select the checkboxes under Show the following as available fields: to specify which fields appear as searchable options in your In Field drop-down menu.

  3. Click Save to apply your new defaults and close the window.

Note: Setting your most frequently used search fields (such as Tracking # or Borrower) as defaults saves you time during future searches.

How to Filter Orders by Status

If you do not have specific details, use status-based folders to view groups of orders in various stages.

  1. Click the appropriate filter folder on the left side of your Orders list to view orders grouped by their progress.

  2. Review the list of all orders that match the selected filter status on your screen.

Outcome

By completing these steps, you have successfully located your orders using search criteria, customized your default search preferences, and filtered your orders by their status. You can now efficiently manage and track your order pipeline in Mercury Network, ensuring quick access to critical order details.
