Understanding the Search Results and Map

The Realist Map enhances your searching by allowing you to visually see the results of your search and zoom in to actual views of the property and its surrounding location. Search results appear on the Map as push pins with the Map zoomed to a “best fit” level to see all of the matching properties. When you click a push pin, a hover box opens giving you an overview of the property and the ability to zoom in on the Map, quickly view the lot dimensions, view photos of the property (when applicable) and view reports.

Interacting with Map Push Pins

Clicking any search result pin initializes an overview flight deck pane right over the parcel coordinate:

  • Hover Box Metrics: Access immediate summaries containing raw lot dimensions, structural property images, and shortcuts to targeted reporting nodes.

Mapped Properties and the Search Results Grid

The map workspace establishes a dynamic bidirectional link with your spreadsheet rows to simplify record tracking:

  • Grid-to-Map Navigation: Selecting an active row item inside your tabular grid instantly pans and highlights the corresponding push pin on the map.
  • Map-to-Grid Navigation: Selecting a push pin directly on the map viewport automatically focuses and highlights the corresponding text row inside the search grid.

Realist Map Views

The map viewport contains specialized canvas layers to adjust your geographic display style:

  • Roadmap: A standard mapping view prioritizing streets, cartographic routing paths, and official thoroughfare name text labels.
  • Satellite: An un-laid overhead photographic viewport optimized for auditing physical structures, property conditions, and land characteristics.
  • Hybrid: An overlay matching photographic satellite backgrounds directly with integrated street lines and roadway indicators.
  • Terrain: A physical visualization view focusing on regional elevation shifts, geographical features, and natural landmarks surrounding the tract.

Realist Map Tools

Utilize the specific map utility toolbars to customize spatial searches and append data overlays:

  • Drawing Tools: Refine geographic lookups by utilizing geometric boundaries (circle, rectangle, or custom polygon) to capture parcels around regional points of interest.
  • Annotations: Drop personal callout notes and markers directly onto the canvas space to append context before printing or emailing maps to clients.
  • Boundaries: Toggle distinct legal border lines including Zip Codes, County lines, Parcel boundaries, School District boundaries, and common Neighborhood borders.
  • Property and Sales Information: Apply comprehensive marketing evaluation layers covering distressed properties (Pre-Foreclosure, Auction, REO/Bank owned), active MLS Listings status parameters, historical Tax and MLS Sales dates, ValueMap Automated Valuations data, and physical property characteristics.
  • Trends: Toggle heat-mapped thematic views illustrating localized home value trajectories and market parameters sorted by Zip Code or common Neighborhood sectors.
  • Points of Interest: Locate local transit stations, commercial banking assets, institutional schools, and service facilities directly within your drawn shapes.
  • Driving Directions: Calculate point-to-point street navigation routes directly from your digital property research to export for vehicular routing.
  • Locate on Map: Enter explicit addresses, postal codes, or cities to immediately center your viewport coordinates before deploying secondary analytics tools.
