# How to Swap a Borrower's Position on a Credit Report

## Overview

Swap a borrower’s position on a credit report in just a few clicks. This process gives you the flexibility to update the report based on new information or changing requirements.

## Swap a borrower’s position

**Encompass® Desktop**

Follow these steps to swap a borrower’s position on a credit report on **Encompass® Desktop**.

1. Sign in to Encompass® Desktop using your credentials.
2. From your **Pipeline**, select the appropriate loan from the list.
3. From your Encompass loan file, select the **Edit Borrowers icon**.
4. Locate the borrower you want to reposition, then click **Move**.
5. Select the borrower's radio button, then click **Move**.
6. Confirm the details in the Encompass popup, then click **OK.**
7. In the left navigation bar, select **Services**, then choose **Order Credit Report** from the menu.
8. On the Credit Report popup, select **Cotality Credco**.
9. Click **Submit**.
10. From the Dashboard, locate the report where you want to swap the borrower.
11. From the **Actions** dropdown menu, select **Swap Borrowers**.
12. Review the changes in the **Swap Borrowers** popup, then select **Confirm Swap**. The order Summary screen displays.

**Encompass® Web**

Follow these steps to swap a borrower’s position on a credit report on **Encompass® Web**.

1. Sign in to Encompass® Web using your credentials.
2. From your **Pipeline**, select the appropriate loan from the list.
3. From your Encompass loan file, select the **Borrower Pair** dropdown menu.
4. Click the **pencil icon**.
5. Select the area to the left of the borrower name, then **drag and drop** the borrower into the desired position.
6. Click **Next**.
7. Confirm the change details in the **Manage Borrowers** popup, then click **Save.**
8. In the left navigation bar, select **Services**, then choose **All Services** from the menu.
9. On the **All Services** page, click **Order Service.**
10. In the **Order Service** pop-up, select **Credit** under **Categories**, then choose **Cotality Credco** from the **Providers** list.
11. Click **Next**.
12. From the Dashboard, locate the report where you want to swap the borrower.
13. From the **Actions** dropdown menu, select **Swap Borrowers**.
14. Review the changes in the **Swap Borrowers** popup, then select **Confirm Swap**. The order Summary screen displays.
