Overview
Swap a borrower’s position on a credit report in just a few clicks. This process gives you the flexibility to update the report based on new information or changing requirements.
Swap a borrower’s position
Follow these steps to swap a borrower’s position on a credit report on Encompass® Desktop.
Sign in to Encompass® Desktop using your credentials.
From your Pipeline, select the appropriate loan from the list.
From your Encompass loan file, select the Edit Borrowers icon.
Locate the borrower you want to reposition, then click Move.
Select the borrower's radio button, then click Move.
Confirm the details in the Encompass popup, then click OK.
In the left navigation bar, select Services, then choose Order Credit Report from the menu.
On the Credit Report popup, select Cotality Credco.
Click Submit.
From the Dashboard, locate the report where you want to swap the borrower.
From the Actions dropdown menu, select Swap Borrowers.
Review the changes in the Swap Borrowers popup, then select Confirm Swap. The order Summary screen displays.
Follow these steps to swap a borrower’s position on a credit report on Encompass® Web.
Sign in to Encompass® Web using your credentials.
From your Pipeline, select the appropriate loan from the list.
From your Encompass loan file, select the Borrower Pair dropdown menu.
Click the pencil icon.
Select the area to the left of the borrower name, then drag and drop the borrower into the desired position.
Click Next.
Confirm the change details in the Manage Borrowers popup, then click Save.
In the left navigation bar, select Services, then choose All Services from the menu.
On the All Services page, click Order Service.
In the Order Service pop-up, select Credit under Categories, then choose Cotality Credco from the Providers list.
Click Next.
From the Dashboard, locate the report where you want to swap the borrower.
From the Actions dropdown menu, select Swap Borrowers.
Review the changes in the Swap Borrowers popup, then select Confirm Swap. The order Summary screen displays.

You can confidently swap a borrower’s position on a credit report.
