# How to Remove a Borrower from a Joint Credit Report

## Overview

Remove a borrower from a joint credit report after the original report has been submitted. This process gives you the flexibility to update the report and exclude a borrower based on new information or changing requirements.

## Remove a borrower from a joint credit report

**Encompass® Desktop**

Follow these steps to remove a borrower from a joint credit report on **Encompass® Desktop**.

1. Sign in to Encompass® Desktop using your credentials.
2. From your **Pipeline**, select the appropriate loan from the list.
3. From the **Forms** menu, select **Borrower Summary - Origination**.
4. **Remove the borrower or co-borrower** details from the Encompass loan file.
5. Click **Save**.
6. In the left navigation bar, select **Services**, then choose **Order Credit Report** from the menu.
7. On the Credit Report popup, select **Cotality Credco**.
8. Click **Submit**.
9. From the Dashboard, locate the joint report you want to update to remove a borrower.
10. From the **Actions** dropdown menu, select **Remove Borrower**.
11. In the **Remove Borrower** popup, review the borrower information currently associated with the loan file and identify the borrower who will be removed from the credit report. If the information is correct, click **Confirm Removal**. The Order Summary screen displays.

**Encompass® Web**

Follow these steps to remove a borrower from a joint credit report on **Encompass® Web**.

1. Sign in to Encompass® Web using your credentials.
2. From your **Pipeline**, select the appropriate loan from the list.
3. From the **Forms** menu, select **Application View**, then select **Borrower Information**.
4. **Remove the borrower or co-borrower** details from the Encompass loan file.
5. Click **Save**.
6. In the left navigation bar, select **Services**, then choose **All Services** from the menu.
7. On the **All Services** page, click **Order Service.**
8. In the **Order Service** popup, select **Credit** under **Categories**, then choose **Cotality Credco** from the **Providers** list.
9. Click **Next**.
10. From the Dashboard, locate the joint report you want to update to remove a borrower.
11. From the **Actions** dropdown menu, select **Remove Borrower**.
12. In the **Remove Borrower** popup, review the borrower information currently associated with the loan file and identify the borrower who will be removed from the credit report. If the information is correct, click **Confirm Removal**. The Order Summary screen displays.
