Overview
You can recategorize paystub earnings to ensure income is classified correctly. Use this process to reassign earnings between the Base, Overtime, Commission, Bonus, Tips, and Other income categories. When you update an earnings category, Income Analysis automatically recalculates the source and destination categories, including the Current, YTD, and monthly calculated amounts.
Before you begin, keep the following in mind:
The Wage section includes six earnings categories: Base, Overtime, Commission, Bonus, Tips, and Other.
Each earnings category includes its own Edit option (button).
Base pay earnings can only be moved to or from the Base category through the Base Edit option.
If the income is in a Rep & Warrant (RW) status and the calculations have been accepted, you must first unaccept the values before making edits. To do this, click the Investor Surround to open the investor popup, then select Unaccept (for files with a DU Casefile ID) or Exit Preview (for files without a DU Casefile ID). This unlocks the calculations and enables editing.
