# How to Cancel Loans on DigitalTax® Portal

## Overview

You cancel loans to remove them from active monitoring and stop ongoing tax reporting cycles. Processing cancellations directly in the portal ensures your billing portfolio is updated immediately, whether you need to deactivate a single record or process a list of multiple loans.

### Cancel a Single Loan

1. Search for and open the target loan’s details page.
2. Click the **Cancel Loan icon**.
3. Click **Yes** to confirm the cancellation.
4. A notification will display that the loan has been canceled, and the status will show inactive.

### Cancel Loans in Bulk

1. Navigate to the **Loans** dashboard.
2. Click **Cancel Loans**.
3. Enter the **loan numbers** you need to deactivate into the field.
4. Click **Add**.
5. Click **Submit.**
6. Click **Confirm** to move forward with canceling the listed loans.
7. A notification will display that the loans have been canceled.

## Outcome

You have deactivated the selected loans from active monitoring. The system immediately halts future tax reporting schedules for these records and updates your portfolio inventory counts.
