The module allows customers to self-manage their fee schedules via a streamlined interface. Customers can add and remove and adjust custom Value Tiers to differentiate product fees based on the estimated value of the property. These plans apply to **UAD 3.6** products. --- ## How to Add a New Value Tier [Embedded content](https://cotality.storylane.io/demo/svyarkyglzqb?embed=inline) Value Tiers are used as a basis for all fee and price plans. Users define property value ranges for each Value Tier, which are used as input in the fee calculations. The property value is based on the property's Sales Price or Owner's Estimate of Value supplied at order creation. > [!NOTE] > **Note**: Customers must configure these tiers before creating fee and price plans. 1. Navigate to the top navigation bar and select **Preferences**. 2. Select **Fees** in the dropdown menu. 3. Open the left sidebar by clicking on the **double arrow** icon at the top of the sidebar. 4. Select **Value Tier Management** to view or edit tiers. 5. On the **Value Tier Management** page, add a new tier and enter a value in the **Maximum Value** field (e.g., "$300,000"). --- 1. The system automatically creates a final tier that ranges from the previous limit to "**Infinity**". 2. You can define up to ten tiers for your account. 3. Click **Save Changes**. > [!NOTE] > **Note**: If you add a tier, you must update your plans to define fees for the new tier structure. Each product must have a defined base fee for each tier. If using fee plans with manually added fees, update the plans to ensure an accurate base fee is configured for each tier. 4. You can adjust the value ranges of existing tiers at any time without updating fee plans, as long as the base fees remain accurate. ## How to Remove a Value Tier 1. To remove tiers, click **Delete**. The system automatically sets the maximum range of the final record to "**Infinity**". 1. Click **Yes** to finalize the deletion and update your tiers. > [!NOTE] > **Note**: If value tiers are removed and your new value ranges mean a product's current base fee is no longer accurate, you must manually update those fees in your plans. --- ## Outcome You can now configure value tiers in Mercury Network® to define property value ranges and calculate base fees.
