# How to Add a Trainee to an Order on Mercury Network®

## Overview

Supervisors can assign a trainee to a Mercury Network® appraisal order so the client can see who is assisting with the appraisal. The trainee option is available only when the client assigns the order to you as a supervisor.

## How to assign a trainee to an appraisal order

If an order was assigned to you as a supervisor, you can select the trainee who is working on the appraisal so your client can see their information.

> **Note**: If your client did not assign the order to you as a supervisor, you won't see the Trainee item in Order Details.

1. In **Order Details**, look for the *Trainee* item in the **Vendor Information** section, and click the **Edit** link next to it.

2. In the **Select trainee** dialog, use the drop-down to select the trainee who is working on this order, then click **OK**.

## Outcome

After you assign the trainee, Mercury Network® adds the trainee’s information to the appraisal order where the client can view it. This provides transparency about who is assisting the supervisor with the appraisal while keeping the supervisor assigned to the order.
