# How to Navigate the Finding Detail Panel on Collateral Investigate™

## Overview

The **Finding Detail Panel** on **Collateral Investigate™** provides a deep dive into specific rule violations, showing the finding name, severity, and update history. You can view supporting evidence across specialized tabs like **Photos** and **Comps**, or collaborate with your team using the **Messages** and **Share finding** features. Accessing these comprehensive details ensures you have the necessary context to assign the correct status through the **Select decision** menu.

## Navigate the Finding Detail Panel

1. The **Finding overview**, displays the **finding name**, the **severity level** badge (such as **Low**, **Medium**, or **High**), and **timestamp** showing when the category was last updated.
2. Select the **Appraisal info** tab to view specific details about the appraisal rule that triggered the finding.
3. Select the **Comments** tab to view existing notes or add a new one.
  1. Select the **Add a comment** text area and enter your message.
  2. Click **Add comment** to save your comment.
4. Select the **Messages** tab to send an internal message regarding this finding.
  1. Click **+ Write a message** to open the **Write a message** window.
  2. Complete all required fields. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  3. Click **Send Message** to send.
5. Select the **Recent activity** tab to view the history of updates made to this finding.
6. Select the **Photos** tab to view any photos associated with the finding.
  1. Select or deselect the **Subject** or **Comp** checkboxes to filter the photos displayed.
7. Select the **Comps** tab to view comparable properties.
  1. Select the **map** button to see the geographical location of the subject property and comparables plotted on a map.
  2. Select the **table** button to view the comps in a grid format, which includes the comparable type, distance, sales price, and key characteristics compared to the SUBJECT_PROPERTY.
    1. Select a comparable property row from the list to expand it and view detailed information.
8. Select the **Share finding** link at the bottom-left corner.
  1. Select the checkbox next to the name of the **reviewer** with whom you want to share the finding. If needed, enter a name in the **Search by reviewer** field to filter the list.
  2. Select the **Share Finding** button.
  3. In the **Write a message** dialog, enter a description in the text box explaining why you are sharing this finding.
  4. Click **Write Message** to complete the sharing process.
9. Select the **Select decision** button in the bottom-right corner.
  1. Select one of the following decisions from the list based on your review.
