It covers common tasks such as configuring email notifications, assigning admin rule profiles and permissions, setting vacation status, and managing group and tab access. --- #### Configuring email settings for a staff profile Staff users can configure email settings for a staff profile by clicking **Email** in the staff profile entry. This action will open the **Email Notifications** page. The **Email Notifications** page is divided into five sections based on the types of potential email notifications the configurations pertain to: **Process Statuses, Other Order Notifications, General Notifications, Appraiser Profile Updates,** and **Integration Notifications.** The configuration controls in the **Process Statuses** and Other **Order Notifications sections** are divided into four columns: **None**, **Only for assigned orders, Based on assigned rule profile,** and **All orders**. When a staff user makes a selection from one of these four columns, they are choosing under which conditions, if at all, the owner of the staff profile will receive an email when one of the listed statuses or order notifications occurs when an order is being processed. Users may also note that there is a continuum graphically represented above the four columns that ranges from **Fewer Emails** to **More Emails**. This continuum is meant to give the user a general idea of how many emails a particular configuration can be expected to generate. The configuration controls in the **General Notifications, Appraiser Profile Updates**, and/or **Integration Notifications** sections are at the bottom of the page. A staff user will select the check boxes associated with any notifications they’d like the owner of the staff profile to receive. If all notifications under any of these notification categories are desired, the user can select the check box that corresponds to the category heading. The **General Notifications** category contains administrative events that can cause Appraisal Scope to trigger notifications to a staff user. Staff users configured for these notifications will receive a message when one of these events occurs. The **Appraiser Profile Updates** category shows certain actions a vendor user can take in an AMC’s platform-version. When the check boxes associated with these actions are selected, the affected staff user will receive notifications when a vendor user performs one of the actions. The **Integration Notifications** category consists of the integrations that an Appraisal Scope platform-version will monitor for order failures. Staff users configured for these Integration Notifications will receive a message when an order fails due to a selected integration. After modifications are made from this page, the user will click **Save** to apply all Email Notifications configurations to the affected staff profile. #### Assigning Admin Rule Profiles to a staff profile An AMC staff user will assign an Admin Rule Profile to a staff profile from the Staff Profile list. To assign an Admin Rule Profile, the user will click the drop-down box in the Rule field associated with the relevant staff profile and select the appropriate Admin Rule Profile from the drop-down list (please see the Admin Rule Profiles page section for details on these rule profiles). #### Setting a vacation notification in a staff profile Staff users can set a vacation off date from the **Staff Profile** list. To set this date, users will select the check box in the Vacation field associated with the appropriate staff profile. When the **Set Vacation Off Date** dialog box opens, enter the date in the **Vacation** **Off Date** text field and click **Save** to apply the date to the staff profile. This configuration will temporarily remove a staff member from any round robin order assignments for the duration of that staff member’s vacation. > [!NOTE] > **Note**: An AMC staff user will need to make sure that the **Vacation** check box is cleared when a staff member returns from vacation so that they can be reincluded in the round robin assignment queue. Configuring a staff user’s Appraisal Scope platform-interface from a staff profile A super-admin user can configure a staff user’s Appraisal Scope platform-interface from the **Staff Profile** list. To configure a staff user’s platform-interface, a super-admin will click **Tab** in the **Tabs** field associated with the relevant staff profile. When the **Tab Permission** dialog box opens, the user will select the check boxes for the tabs and associated subtabs that they want the owner of the staff profile to be able to see and interact with, and clear the check boxes coinciding with the tabs and subtabs that they don’t want the owner of the staff profile to see. They will click **Save** to apply these configurations. #### Configuring Groups settings in a staff profile AMC staff users can assign a **staff profile** to a group from the Staff Profile list. To modify the staff profile in this way, the user will click **Groups** in the **Groups** field corresponding to the relevant staff profile. When the **Staff Groups** dialog box opens, the staff user will select the check box corresponding to the group they wish to affiliate the staff profile with and then click **Submit** (see the Groups page section for details about groups). #### Configuring Permissions settings in a staff profile A staff user can configure the level of administrative power that the owner of a staff profile will have in an Appraisal Scope platform-version from the **Staff Profile** list. To modify **permissions**, the staff user will click **Permissions** in the Permissions field that corresponds to the relevant staff profile. This action will open the **Staff Permissions** dialog box. In this dialog box, the user will select the check boxes that correspond to tasks that they want the staff profile owner to be able to perform, and they will leave clear the check boxes corresponding to all other tasks. They will click Save to apply the configuration to the staff profile. #### Setting up an email signature in a staff profile AMC staff users can create and set email signatures from the **Staff Profile** list. To create these signatures, users will click **Edit** from the **Signature** field of the relevant staff profile. This action will open the **Signature** dialog box. They can then create an email signature in the text field of the **Signature** dialog box, using the available text editing controls to make style and formatting choices. Staff users will click **Save** to apply the new signature to the staff profile. #### **User Login log and deleting staff profiles** Staff users can view a **User Login** log associated with a staff profile from the **Staff Profile** list. A user will click the **Clipboard** icon in the **Log** field of the relevant staff profile to open the **User Login Log box**. Records of the date and time of login and logout activity associated with a staff profile will be available here. A user will click **Close** to return to the staff profiles. A staff user can also delete a staff profile from the **Staff Profile** list by clicking the **Delete** icon in the **Delete** field of the relevant staff profile. This action will remove the staff profile from the AMC’s platform-version. --- ## Outcome After these steps, you will be able to complete common Staff tab administration tasks, including creating and updating staff profiles, configuring email notifications, and setting vacation status. You will also be able to assign permissions, groups, tabs, and admin rule profiles so staff users have the correct access and follow the intended workflow.
