# How to Configure the Review Artifact Settings on Collateral Investigate™

## Overview

Configuring your artifact settings allows you to generate a standardized PDF record of the entire appraisal review lifecycle. By capturing the full review history, specific findings, and reviewer rationale, you create a transparent audit trail that justifies your final conclusions. This level of detail ensures compliance with documentation standards and provides clear communication to stakeholders regarding the decision-making process.

## Configuring the Artifact Settings

While/after completing their review of an appraisal, they can create a PDF review artifact documenting their review.

1. Click the **Settings** icon in the right-hand corner of the toolbar to reveal the **Settings** menu.
2. Select **Review Artifact** from the **Settings menu**.
3. Click **Edit Artifact Settings**.
4. Choose what is and is not included in the final review artifact PDF.
  1. **Full review process**: Enable to include all rounds of review.
  2. **Appraisal**: Include the full appraisal report.
  3. **Findings and associate comments**: Includes all findings that are fired and any associated comments.
  4. **Summary comments**: Includes the rationale commentary provided by the reviewer.
  5. Click **Save Settings**.
5. Click **Preview review artifact**, to preview the **Valuation Review**.
  1. Open the PDF in Adobe.
  2. Click the **X** at the top-right corner to close the preview.
