Mercury Network® provides a controlled way to apply a hold while documenting the reason and, if applicable, adjusting the due date. --- ## How to Place an Order on Hold [Embedded content](https://app.storylane.io/demo/cf29mgccfjug?embed=inline) 1. In the **Active Order Folders** panel on the left, click **All Open Orders**. 2. Locate the order in the **All Open Orders** list, then double-click it to open **Order Details**. 3. In the top toolbar, click **Set Status** and select **Place on Hold**. 4. In the **Set Order Status** dialog box, perform one of the following actions: 1. **If using double-blind ordering**: Select one of the pre-provided reasons for holding the order. 2. **If not using double-blind ordering:** Type a message explaining the reason for the hold. 3. (Optional) To update the Client VMP and notify the client, select **Update status on the VMP Client order and notify client**. 4. Click **OK**. The **Order History** log will record that the order status is set to **On Hold**. --- ## Outcome After completing these steps, you will be able to place an order on hold, and record the reason for the hold if needed. This ensures the order status accurately reflects its temporary pause and keeps all parties informed according to your ordering settings.
