Filtering order queues
Basic Search functionality
Each order queue that an AMC staff user accesses via a status subtab will have a selection of options available that can be used to filter the list to relevant entries. These filtering tools will be visible at the top of each subpage, above the order queue. These options will constitute the Basic Search functionality available from each subpage.
Among these options will be text boxes available for specific information that can be used to identify individual orders; drop-down lists that can be used to refine a list by order details such as, for instance, a particular client company or appraisal type; and selectable options to filter the queue by orders that have been flagged as Priority or Special Care.
Advanced Search functionality
An Advanced Search functionality is also available. To access the Advanced Search options, a user will direct their mouse to the right side of the status subpage that they’re viewing and point their cursor at the Left-angle-bracket icon. A ribbon will appear, and when the user clicks Advanced Search, a secondary set of drop-down lists will appear that can be used to filter the order queue.
Configurability
An AMC staff user can choose for their own platform-interface some of the filtering options they want to make available for each status subtab. They can choose these options by configuring their Dashboard view subtab by subtab (see the section Configuring available Dashboard Views for more information).
Order queue filtering tips
Among the tools available to make lists more filterable and particular types of orders more easily singled out, the option to associate Custom Flags with orders can be very helpful. Assigning flags to orders based on a set of criteria and then, when filtering, selecting the flag type from the Custom Flags drop-down list presents a very effective method of isolating an entry type that a user is looking for from a list of entries.
AMC staff users can also quickly find entries for any orders that have been marked as significant for high priority or for special treatment by selecting the Priority and/or Special Treatment check boxes from among the filtering options.
Other options that warrant special mention are the E.C.D. and Bid Period drop-down lists available to refine the order queues under the Due and Bids subtabs, respectively.
Configuring available Dashboard views
An AMC staff user has some choice as to the information that they make visible and the filtering options that they make available for order queues viewed from the Dashboard page. As detailed previously, when a user clicks on a subtab option, they get a Dashboard view of the orders that fall under that subtab. Configuring the Dashboard views is about deciding what information pertaining to orders will be most valuable to have available at a glance, and what information types will be most effective at filtering the lists viewable from any subtab option.
Note: Please remember that when staff users configure their Dashboard view, they are creating a Dashboard experience for themselves. The modifications they make will only be visible from their own platform-interface.
AMC staff users will have the opportunity to configure the Dashboard view for each individual subtab, but the information options available for any given subtab might differ slightly from others. A user can apply the following procedures to configure their Dashboard views.
Instructions for configuring available Dashboard views
Direct your mouse to the right side of the landing page, just above the page viewer, and click the Configure Dashboard icon.
Note: he Configure Dashboard Fields dialog box is divided into Columns and Filters panes. The blocks in the Columns pane refer to information that will be provided in the list of orders seen from the Dashboard view of any subtab. The blocks in the Filters pane refer to information types that can be used to filter a list of orders seen from the Dashboard view of any subtab.
In the Configure Dashboard Fields dialog box, click from the horizontal menu that straddles the Columns and Filters panes the subtab for which the Dashboard view will be configured.
To alter the information provided in the columns of a Dashboard view list, click, drag, and drop any block between the Inactive and Active columns of the Columns pane. The information blocks in your Active column reflect the columns that will appear in your Dashboard view list.
To change which information types will be part of the Basic filtering functionality for any Dashboard view list and which will be available from the Advanced filtering functionality, click, drag, and drop the blocks between the Basic and Advanced columns of the Filters pane.
Note: The pink shaded blocks with red text represent information options that can’t be moved between columns in the Columns and Filters panes. These options have to remain where they are.
When you’re finished with your configurations, click Save.
