It outlines key functions such as recording and exporting payments, generating and distributing invoices, managing appraiser payments and ACH transactions, producing appraiser statements, and using QuickBooks integration features. --- #### Managing Sales Commissions Tab The **Commissions** page gives staff users a location to manage AMC sales commissions. Along with list features similar to those available throughout the **Accounting** tab, lists viewed from the **Commissions** page will include the **Sales Person** and **Commission** columns. The **Sales Commission** list will also include **Group By** functionality, located to the left of the page and atop the list, that allows a staff user to group the order records by salesperson or by client company. The **Sales Commission** list will track commissions for the salespeople that an AMC has setup in their platform-version. These settings are accessible from the **Staff** list under the **Staff** tab. The **Sales Commission** list can be used to track commissions that are owed. Once a commission is paid, the associated record should be deleted. To delete a record, a staff user will first select from the far-right column the check box associated with the record to be deleted. Then, they will click **Delete**. #### Exporting Data—Sales Commission The **Export** feature is most useful in cases where a staff user has refined their **Sales Commission** list using the **Search** or **Group By** functionality. When a user clicks **Export**, located to the right of the page and atop the list, all data appearing in the list will be exported. We must reiterate that all data will be exported, so if a list hasn’t been refined, and the number of orders in the list span multiple pages, it may take a considerable amount of time to produce a spreadsheet, and the spreadsheet produced can be very large. The **Export** feature will generate an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel file will be downloaded to a user’s local device. The spreadsheet will include all data from the exported list. #### Aging Balance Tab The **Aging Balance** page allows staff users to view a list of accounts that carry a balance that’s past due by at least 30 days. The list shows the total balance in the **Balance** column, and then it organizes the balance into the columns **Current** (the portion of balance up to 30 days old), **Over 30** (the portion of balance past due by at least 30 days), **Over 60** (the portion of balance past due by at least 60 days), and **Over 90** (the portion of total balance past due by at least 90 days). The past-due calculation begins from the date when an order is completed. Users can view aging balances associated with either accounts receivable or accounts payable by selecting **Account Receivable** or **Account Payable** from the top left of the page, just beneath the tab menu. A list showing accounts receivable can be searched by client company, and a list showing accounts payable can be searched by appraiser or appraiser company. --- #### Exporting data—Aging Balance The **Export** feature is most useful in cases where a staff user has refined their **Aging Balance** list using the **Search** or **Group By** functionality. #### Transaction Summary Tab The **Transaction Summary** page provides a searchable list of every payment transaction for every order throughout the history of an AMC’s platform-version. Staff users will have the ability to broadly filter the list by transaction. Users can select **Account Receivable** or **Account Payable** from the **Transaction** options located at the top left side of the page, beneath the tab menu. This selection will narrow the list to records of transactions in one of those broad categories. More filters can be applied through the **Search** functionality at the top of the page. Among options available, the list can be narrowed by client company or client user, Appraiser or Appraiser Company, and/or by date range of transactions. Staff users will find totals for the **Credit** and **Debit** columns for accounts receivable, and for appraiser fees (**App Fee** column) at the bottom of each page of a **Transaction** list. Appraisal Scope will provide a **Page Total** and a **Grand Total.** The **Page Total** provides the total for the page, and the **Grand Total** provides the total for the entire list. --- #### Exporting data—Transaction Summary The **Export** feature is most useful in cases where a staff user has refined their **Transaction** list using the **Search** or **Group By** functionality. When a user clicks **Export**, located to the right of the page and atop the list, all data appearing in the list will be exported. The spreadsheet will include all data from the exported list. --- ## Outcome After reading this article, you will be able to navigate the Accounting tab and identify the purpose of its primary pages, controls, and workflows for managing financial records.
