Overview
To address a frozen credit file, the initial requester can submit various requests through Encompass based on whether they require a new reference number and need fulfillment across different account numbers. This procedure is intended to obtain solely the bureau data that was previously frozen during the initial submission.
Fulfilling frozen files
Access CoreLogic Credco from the Order Services menu.
Open the Request Type menu.
Select one of the options based on the desired outcome below:
New Request: A new reference number is generated for each attempt to fulfill. This is the preferred option when wanting to generate a new reference number.
Retrieve an existing report: No new reference number is generated for reissue requests.
Add/Remove Credit Bureaus: A new reference number is generated when modifying the requested bureau(s). (e.g., changing from one bureau to three bureaus).
Warning: Ordering Credit Refresh Report (LQ Gap) is an invalid option to select for frozen file fulfillment.
Click Submit. A confirmation notification will appear if the submission was successful.
Notes
Borrower Information Consistency: When submitting a new request, the borrower’s details must match those from the original submission, including name, address, Social Security number, age, and dob. Any discrepancies may result in a new credit report.
Access Restrictions: At this time, the individual who placed the original order must initiate the New Request. If an alternate individual places the new order or another account is used, the action will result in a new credit report.
Unfrozen Files: If the borrower’s credit file is no longer frozen, the system will automatically retrieve any missing bureau data and append it to the existing report.
Outcome
You can now fulfill the frozen file based on your file’s needs.
