# How to Change a Bid's Due Date on Mercury Network®

## Overview

You can update the due date for an active bid after it has been started to allow vendors additional time to respond.

After you start a bid, you can change the bid's due date.

In the dialog that appears, enter the new due date and time for the bid. Below, add any comments you want the vendor to see in the notification they'll receive. When you click **Set date**, the bid due date will be updated, and a notification will be sent to any vendor who has not declined to bid.

## Outcome

After completing this step, the bid due date will be updated and all vendors who have not declined will be notified of the change.
