# How to Add Liens on DigitalTax® Portal

## Overview

You add a lien to a loan to manually associate a new taxing agency and tax identification number with the property record. This ensures accurate tracking and reporting of all tax lines and payment obligations for the loan.

## Steps

1. Search for and open the target loan's details page.
2. Open the **More Actions** menu.
3. Click **Add lien**.
4. Enter the required information in the **Agency name/number**, **Tax ID number**, **Lien type**, and **Pending appointment** fields.
5. Click **Add lien**.
6. Click **Confirm** to proceed.

## Outcome

You have added a new lien to the loan. The system displays a confirmation notification, and you can view the recorded change under the Reporting History tab on the Loan Details page.
