These permissions determine which tasks users can perform, which orders they can access, and which system settings they are allowed to manage. This article explains how to assign and manage user permissions so each team member has the appropriate level of access for their role. --- ## How to Assign User Permissions [Embedded content](https://app.storylane.io/demo/pwdhzytjepjh?embed=inline) 1. In the top navigation menu, click **Users**. 2. In **User Management**, select a user from the list to manage their permissions. 3. Scroll to the bottom of the account profile to find the **Permissions** section. 4. Select the checkbox next to each permission to assign to the user. 5. Once you have selected the user permissions, click **Save** in the upper-left corner. ## Order Management Settings Descriptions | #### Order Management | | --- | | **Place New Orders** Allows users to place new appraisal orders. They'll be able to change the DI User ID and password, as well as add, remove, or edit any of your Business Units. Assign this only to a user who is authorized to manage these connections. Invalid connection settings will interrupt your ability to submit to UCDP and EAD. | --- ## Outcome After completing these steps, you will be able to configure user permissions to match your organization’s workflow and security requirements. You will know how to grant or restrict access to order management, compliance tools, vendor interactions, submissions to UCDP or FHA, and administrative settings. This ensures users have the access they need while protecting sensitive data and maintaining proper account control.
