How to Add & Manage a Client Exception Price Plan on Mercury Network®

Prev Next

Overview

The Mercury Network® platform allows you to create and manage client price plans through the Fees Module. Client Prices are automatically calculated based on data points such as product type, geographic area, and property value. Client Exception Price Plans allow you to specify different fees for orders associated with specific Clients or Client Groups. When applicable, the Exception Price Plans will override the standard Client Price Plan(s). These plans apply to UAD 3.6 products.

How to Add a Client Exception Price Plan

Exception price plans will override the baseline client price plans when the order is associated to the selected client(s) or client group(s).

Note: These plans apply to UAD 3.6 products.

  1. Navigate to the top navigation bar and select Preferences.

  2. Select Fees in the dropdown menu.

  3. Click the double arrow icon at the top of the sidebar to open the left navigation, then select Client Exception Price Plans.

  4. On the VMP Client Exception Price Plans page, select Create New Plan.

Note: You must configure value tiers before creating fee plans. Tiers are determined by the property’s Sales Price or the Owner’s Estimate of Value. For detailed instructions, refer to the article: How to Add & Manage Fee Plan Value Tiers.

    1. Select Bulk Upload. The bulk spreadsheet method is the primary way to create multiple fee plans.

    2. Enter a plan name in the Fee Plan Name field.

    3. Select Manually add fees as the Base Fees methodology for the plan.

    4. Click Next.

  5. On the Upload Plan Details section, click on the Instructions to view the file requirements.

      2. For each product, include a base price for each configured Value Tier.

      3. Specify add-on fees for any order data points that, when true for the order, increase the fee. The total client price for an order is calculated by adding the base fee + any applicable add-on fees.

Note: Required fields on the spreadsheet template have column headers highlighted in Red, while optional fields have column headers highlighted in Green. You must populate both the Plan and the List tab. Add-on fees are optional.

    2. On the List tab:

      1. List the specific Client(s) or Client Group(s) this plan applies to. These fees will override the default plan for the specified Client(s) or Client Group(s).

  7. Upload your fee plan spreadsheet.

    1. Click Browse file to upload the completed template back into the system. You may assign any name to your file; the system does not require a specific naming convention.

    2. Click Save Fee Plan.

  8. On the VMP Client Exception Price Plans page, click View Fees to monitor your spreadsheet upload status and confirm the plan passed validation.

    1. If the plan validation fails, the user who uploaded the spreadsheet will receive an email notification.

      1. In the Fee Plans section, a failed icon 🚫 will display in Status column.

Table displaying plan name and status, indicating an inactive status with a symbol.

Note: You can click the “History Log” button to the left of the “Create New Plan” button to see every successful and attempted upload in your current profile. If there was a validation error during your upload, the reason will be outlined here.

  9. If plan validation fails.
