# How to Create User Accounts on Mercury Network®

## Overview

Creating users through the User Management section of Appraiser XSite ensures they can both manage appraisal orders and participate in routing groups. This process establishes the user’s Mercury Network® profile and allows you to configure permissions after their first login.

The best way to create users who can manage appraisal orders as well as be assigned to routing groups is to create the user in the **User Management** section of your Appraiser XSite.

After you've created the user there, they will need to log into Mercury Network® using the login information you created. When the user has logged into Mercury Network®, their Mercury Network® profile will be created, and from there, you'll be able to adjust the permissions and other user-specific settings.

After following this approach, you will have a user who can log into Mercury Network®, manage appraisal orders, and be assigned to routing groups. You will also be able to adjust their permissions and settings once their profile is created.
