In this article, you will learn how to access the Metrics page, create and manage dashboards, and add or modify widgets to track the information most relevant to your work.

Introduction to the Metrics tab

The Metrics tab is accessible from the main tab menu at the top of the landing page. The Metrics tab allows staff users to create dashboard views using widgets that show graphic representations of the information users select. Staff users will access the Metrics page by clicking the Metrics tab in the main tab menu.

Creating Metrics dashboard

The Metrics dashboard is a staff user-specific feature of Appraisal Scope. Each user can create as many dashboards as they’d like and modify them by adding widgets.

Staff users will find their Metrics dashboards available to choose from by clicking the Available Dashboards drop-down arrow at the top left of the Metrics page. Users can also delete a dashboard by clicking Delete Dashboard, or change the name of a dashboard by clicking Modify Dashboard.

Adding widgets

To add a widget to a Metrics Dashboard, a user will first click New Widget. In the Add a new widget to the current dashboard dialog box, the user will then click the Available Widgets drop-down arrow. The Available Widgets drop-down list that appears will show all of the widget options available. Following are descriptions and configuration instructions for the available Metrics dashboard widgets.

To edit or delete a widget, the staff user will need to make sure that they’ve selected the relevant Metrics Dashboard first. A staff user can remove any widget from a dashboard by clicking the red X icon in the top-right corner of the widget.

Widgets can also be modified at any time. To modify the widget, a staff user will click the Controls icon, located just to the left of the X, and change the relevant setting. When finished, the user will click the icon again.
