# How to Change the Appraisal Fee of an Order on Mercury Network®

## Overview

Mercury Network® allows you to update an appraisal fee after an order has been placed, as long as you document the reason for the change. This option provides flexibility when fees need to be adjusted while ensuring transparency with the vendor and a clear audit trail.

If you need to change the fee for an order, you can do so, as long as you provide a reason for the change.

To change the appraisal fee:

1. Double-click the order for which you want to change the fee.
2. On the toolbar, click **Set status**, then choose **Change fee**.

3. Decrease Appraisal Fee
4. In the window that appears, enter the new fee in the **New Fee** field.
5. Enter comments describing the reason for the fee change.
6. Click **Set fee** to commit your changes.

## Outcome

After completing these steps, you will be able to change an order’s appraisal fee, record the reason for the adjustment, and apply the update immediately. The new fee and comments will be saved to the order history and shared with the vendor, keeping all parties informed.
